Dear Members/Supporters,

We are coming to the end of the first half of the fiscal year with the Holiday Season approaching thereafter.  Thank you for your continued support and activity.  Our energetic staff of Merilyn Oda, Mina Sakai and Mai Shiomi are available whenever needed even as they continue to work from home.

During these challenging times communications and membership value are very important priorities.  We hope our daily bulletins rather than monthly newsletters have been helpful.  Also the various informational webinars need to  continue to be relevant.  Feedback from you is also needed to implement changes to focus on our priorities.  Our Membership Development committee has developed a survey which you should have received for evaluating our present programs. Please take the time to participate in the survey.

The announcement of Steve Teruya as your next President & CEO who comes on board in February 1, 2022 is exciting news.  His strong leadership skills will keep our Chamber in the right direction.  Please give him your 100% support as you have done with me.  My 12 years as the head of the Chamber has been enjoyable and will be cherished as one of my highlights in my working career! I will be leading the Chamber until the end of November.

Also in 2022 we will be celebrating the 40th Anniversary of our Sister Chamber with the Hiroshima Chamber and our Affiliated relationship with the Fukui Chamber. Hopefully we will have business missions tied to these celebrations in 2022.

Be Safe and Stay Healthy!
