Over 100 Network at SOLD OUT HJCC/HJJCC UH Men’s Basketball Mixer

On February 12th, 2020, the Honolulu Japanese Chamber of Commerce (HJCC) and Honolulu Japanese Junior Chamber of Commerce (HJJCC) hosted the Rainbow Warrior B-Ball Night – a Social Networking Event - at the Stan Sheriff Center’s UH Men’s basketball game against the Long Beach State 49ers. Over 100 HJCC, HJJCC, Dual Members and guests enjoyed a night of food and company while cheering on the UH basketball team.

Not only did current HJCC Chair of the Board Jon Tskamoto and HJJCC President Kristine Wada give opening remarks promoting the networking and strengthening of connections between the HJCC and HJJCC, but Coach Eran Ganot stopped by and gave a pep talk the attendees.

Mahalo to HJCC Member company Sodexo (Marc Nakamoto) for providing the food and HJCC Past Chair Sidney Hamada and Murphy’s for cooking the suckling pig!! A round of applause goes to Chamber member Craig Hirasaki (Owner/Creative Director, ConnectWorks Group Hawaii) who represented the HJCC by singing the National Anthem and Hawai‘i Pono‘ī.

In the end, the Rainbow Warriors narrowly lost 50-49, keeping it close for the entire game, but the members still enjoyed the.

Finally, thank you to the event coordinators for a successful event: HJCC Past Chairs Sidney Hamada and Arnold Hirotsu, Vice Chair Steve Teruya and Clayton Hill, HJCC Membership Development Committee Chair Kari Kiyota, HJJCC President Kristine Wada, HJJCC VP of Membership Kim Takata Endo, and Sodexo representative Marc Nakamoto!
